Vans Launches the First Ever Beatles Footwear Collaboration
Fifty years ago, the world was overrun by Beatlemania. Long before the days of One Direction, the Spice Girls’ girl power and Bieber fever, four lads from Liverpool made changed the music scene forever. Throughout their career, the Beatles paved the way for both music and visual media, parlaying their musical fame into feature films and more. To celebrate five decades of the Fab Four (and perfectly timed, especially since Paul and Ringo just took the stage at the Grammy Awards last weekend), Vans is releasing a special capsule collection with iconic images from the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine.
The special collab features three of Vans’ most iconic shoes, the Sk8 Hi, the Era and classic Slip-On. These shoes have been a staple since their debut in ’66, when they were quickly adopted by the surf and skate scene in Southern California.
The shoes are set to launch in March and will range from $65$75 each, making this both one of the most colorful and affordable fashion collabs in recent history. According to the Beatles, all you need is love, but if you want to add these kicks to your collection, you’ll need to be quick, too, because these sneakers are sure to be a hit.
