Charlotte Gainsbourg Teams with L.A.’s Current/Elliott for a Yearlong Collab

Charlotte Gainsbourg for Current/Elliott

Alexa Chung isn’t the only style celeb that’s getting a denim collaboration this fall. Charlotte Gainsbourg, the French actress, chanteuse, model and street style superstar is teaming with L.A.’s Current/Elliott for a yearlong collaboration of denim and apparel. The collection was introduced with a celebration at Paris’ famed Colette boutique, which will be the very first spot to carry the line.

€œI got inspiration from everything,€ Gainsbourg told WWD. €œFor instance, I thought the marini¨re would be fun as I wore one in L€™Effront©e. Also I love corduroy so a corduroy short was obvious to me.€

The Charlotte Gainsbourg Current/Elliott collection will include four deliveries, with the first hitting stores at the end of July just in time for fall.

The first collection includes over 40 different pieces, including denim pants and more traditional five-pocket jeans as well as shorts, an array of outerwear done in wool and corduroy in addition to denim. There will also be tailored pieces, which expands the breadth of the existing Current/Elliott collection, which focuses on relaxed pieces and outerwear.

Jeans will be priced from 250 euros (that’s $341.50 at current exchange) and leather jackets will ring in at about 2,000 euros or $2,732. Knits and tees (including that marini¨re) are also part of the fall delivery, though there’s no word on what’s in store for the collection in upcoming seasons, though Gainsbourg was already wearing a prototype style from the line’s spring collection while debuting the line at Colette.

€œWhen I like clothes, I usually wear them everyday until I wear them out,” Gainsbourg added.
