The Season’s Best Midi Dresses for Under $100

Carrying over from last year, the midi length is showing no signs of going anywhere. And now that the sun’s out and you’ve put away your thick leggings and dark denim, it’s time to think about lightening up and embracing the ladylike length.

We’ve got the best picks in slinky jersey, lightweight knits and flowing, A-line silhouettes, giving gals everywhere the perfect options for work and play alike. Pair any of these picks with your highest heels and a leather jacket for a night out and with a denim jacket for those lazy weekends where you just want to slip into a one-piece wonder.

GQ and Nordstrom Team Up in SoHo for Fashion Week Pop-up Shop

The store, which opened on Fashion’s Night Out and has a planned closing date of September 16th, highlights 25 GQ Spotlights and has a slew of exclusives such as a limited edition L.L. Bean camouflage tote bag, GQ-branded Miansai bracelets (which yours truly, being a menswear editor, couldn’t leave the store without) alongside New Balance sneakers designed by Moore himself. (Sneakers don’t factor into said editor’s preppy wardrobe, so those won’t be coming home to L.A.) The store is decorated with custom fixtures, a camouflage sofa, a lounge and more to get guys in the mood to spend money and time browsing the shop.

The shop also carries Warby Parker eyewear, which is usually an online exclusive. It gives shoppers a chance to experience the brand in a brick-and-mortar spot, though the label is known for its easy try on at home policy.

The GQ store is stocked with big names such as Ralph Lauren, Billy Reid and Dolce & Gabbana, too, so guys can get all the latest looks for the upcoming season. And because GQ is a lifestyle publication, the pop up is packed with guy’s guy essentials such as pinball machines, a stunning hardwood ping pong table, Stumptown coffee on hand, free shaves from the pros at Freeman’s Sporting Club and a custom-made bookshelf featuring selections from Dashwood books. Accessories from Smart Turnout are perfect for the chill that’s will eventually creep into the city, and for the guy who’s got it all: Grab vintage watches from Tourneau or a find from Rolex and Brietling that will please any collector.

After our visit to the store, which included purchase of a tote, guys all around SoHo stopped us to excitedly ask about the store and its wares. The GQ-branded items are so popular, in fact, that a few salespeople in nearby Cole Haan and Tretorn boutiques proclaimed they’d stop in first thing in the morning the following day just to get their hands on it after seeing our purchases. See ladies, fashion isn’t just for you!
